Service Description

Moxibustion is an ancient technique that uses natural heat therapy to treat certain specific conditions. It is also proven to benefit of overall health improvement including restoring strength and slowing down the aging process. This treatment uses moxa made from dried mugwort and compressed into a stick much like incense that, when smoldering, produces a unique form of penetrating heat. The heated end of the moxa stick is held about an inch or two above the surface of the skin over specific acupoints until the area softly reddens and becomes suffused with warmth. Patients can expect to feel a sudden sensation of warmth radiating along a specific physical pathway, away from location of the area that is being treated. This is believed to signify the flow of Qi moving through the body and re-stimulating positive physical processes. BEST FOR: Colds / Boosting immune system Improving blood circulation Helping correct breech pregnancies Menstrual cramps Pain relief after injury Pain relief for arthritis and tendonitis Digestive issues Irregular bowel movements Clammy hands and feet Maintaining health of the spleen, stomach, and kidneys
